With this book I'm hoping to please the many readers who wrote in to ask when I was going to write Angel's Story. This is it, friends! I've become very fond of Angel Cervantes myself--ever since he surprised Charlie, Zack, Savanna, and me, by fainting on top of the skeleton that showed up after the earthquake in Dying to Sing, the first novel in the series. Angel is one of the four partners who own CHAPS, the country western nightclub around which the series revolves. He's the strong silent type, our Angel, one tough hombre, until you look in his eyes which are brown and spaniel soft.

Angel has a secret in his past, something to do with a dead body he discovered as a child. Angel also has a brother, Miguel, whom nobody ever heard of before. (I didn't even know he existed until he showed up when I started plotting this book.) Questions that require answers are: What is the connection between Angel and Miguel and the body that has turned up in a rented storage locker? And what connection does that body have with a long ago murder in Texas?

At Angel's request, Charlie sets out to find the answers to those questions. With Zack's help, of course. The result, I hope, will surprise you!

Reviews:

...an assortment of nifty characters and a knack for storytelling that is several notches above that of many of her competitors. ...a thoroughly enjoyable mystery that should please those who like quirky amateur sleuths.
Booklist
Don't Forget To Die is an intriguing mystery loaded with many twists and turns. Charlie Plato is a wonderful wise-cracker and Zack Hunter is a real hoot. Self-assured and charming, he's got personality to spare. The relationship between them sparkles and is sure to delight anyone lucky enough to read about this duo
Romantic Times
...Charlie puts together the pieces to a surprisingly complicated puzzle. Lively and gently hurmourous.
Kirkus Reviews
