I don't seem to be doing much in the way of writing right now. I'm not blocked, just busy doing other stuff. I do have ideas for a couple of short stories, and my brain keeps bothering me with an idea for a book set in China, but nothing bothers me enough to drop everything and sit down to write. Soon maybe. I'm also planning on putting my out of print books available for Kindle. Soon maybe! Oh, yes--please watch for the July issue of The Writer magazine. I'll have an article in there: "Some Wise thoughts about Setting."

The Crime Lab Project has been put together by a group of crime writers and their friends and readers who are concerned about the gap between what most people believe about the current state of forensic science and the reality faced by the many underfunded, understaffed labs and coroners'offices throughout the country. The lack of support given to labs is something that has a growing negative impact on law enforcement, justice, and national security. I support The Crime Lab Project. Please visit the Crime Lab Project web site to find out how you can help! I do hope you will take the time to read about, and perhaps even help with this worthwhile and very necessary effort.
Sincerely, Meg Chittenden
